Star Blinds and Star Blinds Express Products
If you are wondering why our price guarantee does not extend to our Star Blinds and Star Blinds Express products, the reason is simple. Not all blinds are created equal and we donít want our name on it if we donít feel it provides our customers with a great value. We only choose to deal with reputable dealers that we know will produce quality products at a fair price. At StarDecorating weíve got low prices but we donít sell cheap!
When you shop at StarDecorating.com, you always receive our lowest price guarantee. Our guarantee covers custom-made blinds, shades, and area rugs. It does not include any in-stock, close-out or discontinued items. Our guarantee only applies to published prices and we reserve the right to not price match against ourselves and sell below our costs. Manufacturers often offer us promotions changing our cost. These promotions are immediately, passed on to you, our customers.
BLINDS AND SHADES
Shipping is FREE for any blind or shade under 94" width on horizontal products within the 48 contiguous states. There is a $70.00 oversize charge for horizontal products over 94" or for verticals over either 94" wide or long.
Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and US Territories
For shipping outside the contiguous US there are special shipping charges. You may place your order online and we will call you with the shipping charges. Due to the nature of the product shipping charges cannot be estimated until the size and weight can be determined.
NOTE: We will not be responsible for any additional brokerage fees, tariffs or return shipping charges, if the merchandise is shipped out of the United States.
***If a shipment is refused for no reason, and it results in our reshipping the merchandise, the customer will be responsible for the reshipping charges.
*The manufacturing time applies to materials which are in stock, which is usually the case. In the case where it is out of stock, you will be notified by either phone or e-mail.
Blinds & Shades Returns
Blinds are non-refundable, non-returnable, they are custom made to order. Due to the speed in which your order is processed, no changes or cancellations can be made once your blind is in production. Production usually begins within 12-24 hours from the time of you order.
If you need try to cancel or modify your order, please call our customer service department within 24 hours. We will do our best to assist you, however if the order has been put into production, we will not be able to adjust or cancel your order. All confirmation emails are automatically generated. Do not reply to order confirmations in an attempt to cancel or modify and order.
Of course, if it is damaged or defective we will correct the damage or defect at no cost to you. Damage claim must be reported within 5 days. ***DO NOT discard or destroy the window treatment boxes. In the unlikely event that one is defective, you would have the box on hand to return it in. Star Decorating will not be responsible for any shipping materials or professional installation charges due to a manufacturer defect or shipping damage. If you choose to hire a professional to install your products, we highly recommend that you open and inspect your entire order prior to arranging an professional installation.
We do our best to make sure that the colors displayed on our web site are accurate, actual colors will vary. Color differences and textures may not be fully appreciated due to differences in monitors and your particular monitor setting. Due to the fact that our products are all custom made, and can't be returned, you need to be sure that you can tolerate any color variations that are possible from our scanning of the actual samples. If an exact color match is required, then please request a sample before placing your order. Once you receive your sample, keep in mind that all samples may still have minimal color variations due to dye lot variations.
Shades made with natural materials are truly unique.
By nature, no two slats of wood, strands of grass, bamboo or reeds are exactly the same. Slight color, grain and texture variations should be expected and cherished for their unique beauty. With any type of natural product, slight shrinkage, stretching and warping may occur over time this is inherent of the product and not considered a defects. Bamboo in particular maybe tan, yellow, green or brown depending on when the bamboo is harvested.
In addition to the above considerations regarding color, we'd like to suggest that you order all of your blinds of a given color at one time. There are sometimes slight variations between dye lots.
Shipping within the Contiguous US
Area Rugs generally ship within 72 hours* of the next business day, if they are not custom made. If they are not in in stock, we will notify you of the production time by phone or e-mail. Usually on custom-made area rugs, delivery is 4-6 weeks. On in stock area rugs, if you order Friday night through Sunday, it will ship on Tuesday. Delivery time is usually 3-5 business days, depending on where you live in relation to the shipping location. Most area rugs ship from the Southeastern area of the U.S. There is no charge for shipping within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship area rugs to Alaska or Hawaii.
Area Rug Returns
Your satisfaction with your area rug purchase is our #1 goal. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 15 days and we will exchange it or refund the purchase price, whichever you prefer. You are responsible for the return shipping charges. Custom rugs, oversized rugs or holiday rugs are not returnable. After 15 days, they are non-returnable.
In order to return a rug, the following steps are necessary:
Area rugs that are "on promotion", are NON RETURNABLE, unless, of course, they are damaged. In that case, if there is stock to replace it, the customer must accept the replacement which would be the same style, color and size.
We do not charge sales tax unless your order is shipped to California.
